The Chief Minister stated in his statement that "all attempts" will be made as part of the "after care system" to locate youngsters who leave the shelters and arrange for their education, support, and jobs. For children with disabilities, hostels and temporary boarding schools will be built in Puducherry, Mahe, and Enam. In the regions of Mahe and Enam, plans will be undertaken to reestablish child welfare committees and juvenile justice committees. It is suggested to build a minors-only nursery in Puducherry and daycare facilities in Mahe. The village level will host awareness events on children's rights and safety, he added.
Budgeting for girl children in Puducherry
According to the Chief Minister's Girl Child Protection Program, a fixed deposit of Rs. 50,000 for 18 years would be made to nationalised banks following the birth of the child in consideration of the female child's future welfare.
